It is one of the places where you usually see mama bears with cubs, so just always be aware 'cause they're coming out of the woods. This is such an awesome hike. It's a very steep hike but absolutely gorgeous and takes you from the end of this street and drops you right off at the park which is connected to the shopping center so you can grab a refreshing drink after a nice little hike. And I'd recommend doing it on a hot day because there's so much foliage and tree overhang that it is just a great way to spend a warm day. Walk along a beautiful creek.

They've been messing with the idea of putting a permanent, really nice park here for dogs. The dog park before was a pop-up one, sometimes it was here, sometimes it wasn't. Then they kinda made a permanent one, but it was always muddy.

Read the complete note in the Olde Town guideOne of the most annoying things to someone who's driving and living around Issaquah is that there's two disconnected portions of Issaquah because of the way the layout is and they don't want to put bridges over the little creek here. So it is awkward driving around downtown, but from a homeowner's perspective there's not very many through streets, so there's a lot of great cul-de-sacs, all on flat land, all nearby, walkable to downtown and parks.

If you have children and they play basketball or baseball, you'll probably spend a good amount of time in this industrial park. There's Field of Dreams for baseball and Elite Basketball. I feel like my 2nd home is living up here. Both great programs for young men.

This is an awesome little trail down to Lake Sammamish. It really is a great trail, but there is no parking. You always have to park on the side of the road or, every now and then, you might get one of the two spots over there.

Some of the stores are closed, 7-Eleven closed. They're doing demolition to the big office building across the street. So, from a homeowner's perspective, it's kind of an eyesore right now, but I think they're in the process of revitalizing this area. That should have a positive impact on the local real estate once it's done. But, it'll probably be, you know, at least a year or so till it finishes.

It is great being in a safe, clean neighborhood, but the hills are very steep around here, so not a great place to teach kids how to ride bikes. But when it's snowy, you can definitely go sledding. Which is definitely in the wintertime, we do a lot.

But the impact on home prices has to be something that was taken into account because as an out-of-area buyer would think, hey, getting one of these beautiful little homes, walking distance from the schools, would be amazing. The lady there seems mean, but she's actually really nice. She just yells at you when you come in and out, but it's just her way of being nice. You dine in, you get lots of it, and the food seems fresher. Also, the price is pretty good for the quantity of food that you get.

This isn't very well known, but they just redid the play structure area. They tore down the old ones and put in brand new big toy and little toy, swing set and the whole thing. What a great upgrade to this park for little kids.

There is this biking and walking path between Preston and Snoqualmie, I think it's Fall City. The trail is beautiful. It's long stretches where you can walk, clear your mind.

You get great quantity and still a good price even if you get takeout, but if you go in, you get a better deal. It's the best teriyaki place around, and you just have to go in to get it.

These football fields are awesome, great condition, amazing amenity for the whole Highlands area, actually for the whole city of Issaquah because soccer, lacrosse, football, and I'm sure dozens of other sports use these fields and they're in fantastic condition.

This is an absolutely gorgeous training facility for soccer. Always packed. The parking is atrocious. So be aware of that when you come in here. But the beautiful play area, I walk by here a lot, and it is absolutely beautiful, but the parking is really bad.

If you're looking for a good pool, it's salt water based that your kids can have fun with and the people are all safe and you'll enjoy your summer together. Highly recommend this club.

This area looks amazing. I always wanted to go to it during the summertime but never had a chance to actually go in. I think it's just for events like corporate events or larger family reunions, but it's right on the water, looks awesome, swim area, the whole thing. I always thought it'd be great to go to, but I don't think it has where you can come up and just pay for a day pass or something, which is unfortunate.
